How to stay up to date on cellular agriculture
In case there are readers out there who want to stay up to date on the nascent cultivated-meat industry, but aren’t sure how to do so, I wanted to briefly show how I do it.
The biggest source of information for me — and I feel guilty saying this, given the direction Elon Musk has taken the company — is the social media website formerly known as Twitter. Here are the accounts I follow:
@GoodFoodInst — The Good Food Institute is an invaluable resource.
@JessicaAlmy — Jessica Almy leads GFI’s policy and government relations work.
@LizSpecht — Liz Specht leads GFI’s science and technology work.
@PaulHShapiro — Paul Shapiro wrote the book Clean Meat.
@MeeraZassenhaus — Meera Zassenhaus is head of communications for Tufts University Center for Cellular Agriculture.
@IshaDatar — Isha Datar is the executive director of New Harvest.
@Jan_Dutkiewicz — Jan Dutkiewicz is a journalist who frequently writes about cellular agriculture.
Beyond Twitter, I regularly search “cultivated meat” on Google News and scan the first few pages of results to see if there is anything I’ve missed. Less frequently, I visit the Where’s the Beef subreddit.
