CT State Rep. David Michel open to backing cultivated-meat research

I received the following email from Connecticut State Representative David Michel. Among other things, he’s assistant House Majority Whip and co-chair of the Animal Advocacy Caucus. Here goes:

“Dear John Hochschartner,

I hope this email finds you well.

If you mean I could legislate, that is correct if I get re elected. Session starts in January and I am ok to talk about what you are trying to push, but not now, more likely in September or October. 

Am vegan so growing meat I personally find gross but surely much better than animal suffering which Is why I try to push legislation to reduce animal suffering in farms or in nature or in people s homes.
