By not advancing cellular agriculture, Blumenthal is propping up factory farms
I was protesting in front of Senator Blumenthal’s Hartford office today, calling on him to follow the lead of Democrats in the House of Representatives, like Ro Khanna, who support increased funding for cultivated-meat research. I brought my old sign, because it was pouring earlier, and I thought the cardboard might get soaked. But the weather cleared up.
The building employees were acting a little weird. A bunch of them were milling around when I first arrived. One guy came over, took my picture, and asked me some questions — if other people were coming, how long I was going to be there, etc. They haven’t really done that since I first came. I wondered if something might be going on later in the day. However, I had to go. Maybe I should be following Blumenthal’s public schedule.
Anyway, if you engage in a picket of your elected officials in support of cellular agriculture, email a photo and text description to JonHoch9@gmail.com. You may be featured on this website.
P.S. I haven’t been super impressed with the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. I might just have had too high expectations. I was hoping the series would be movie-level quality and it’s not.
