Blumenthal should support cellular agriculture to prevent next zoonotic pandemic
I was outside Senator Blumenthal’s Hartford office, urging the Connecticut legislator to support increased funding for cultivated-meat research. In addition to the environmental and animal-welfare benefits this revolutionary protein offers, it could significantly reduce the risk of zoonotic diseases making the jump to humans.
Members of the Where’s the Beef? subreddit have said my signs look amateurish, and I guess I got confirmation of that today as two separate people who didn’t look very closely at the words offered me money, thinking that’s what I was asking for! Obviously, I turned them down.
Anyway, if you engage in a protest of your elected officials in support of cellular agriculture, email a photo and text description to JonHoch87@gmail.com. You may be featured on this website.
